Don’t have time for a camp newsletter

Jack's Camp Friends Newsletter

I have a theory.

You’ve read these emails. You get why camp newsletters matter. Maybe even a little convinced.

But you haven’t signed up. And there’s probably a reason.

Let’s take a few swings.

“I don’t have time.”

Fair. You’re running a camp. There’s always something.

Quick math: Write For Camp takes about 2 hours a week. One live call. Some writing time. That’s it.

And the system we build together? It’s designed to make newsletters faster after the cohort ends. Not another thing on your plate. A thing that replaces the “staring at a blank screen for 45 minutes” thing.

“$999 is a lot.”

It is. I’m not going to pretend it isn’t.

But think about what one extra enrolled family is worth to your camp. For most of you, that’s waaaay more than $999.

Goes way beyond enrollment too. Retention. Referrals. Staff recruitment. Alumni engagement. The newsletter touches all of it.

This isn’t some random course purchase. You’re building a system that pays for itself. And yeah, if the $ is beyond your camp's budget, hit me up quick and we can talk it out.

“Newsletters don’t really work for our camp.”

I hear this one sometimes. And I’m always curious what it actually means.

Usually it means: We tried sending some stuff, didn’t get much response, stopped.

But come on. You already have the list. Families who chose you. Alumni who loved it. Staff who came back summer after summer.

They’re already there. They already care.

Got to give them something worth reading.

That’s what we fix.

Still not sure?

That’s fine. Not everyone should join.

But if you’ve been nodding along to these emails, if you keep thinking “I really should be doing this,” if you’ve got a list sitting there that you know you’re underusing…

This is the nudge.

PS - Jessica from West End House Camp joined the last cohort. She said it gave her "the push to get it out there."

Since then? She's sent a newsletter every two weeks.

If you're on the fence and want to talk it through, just hit reply.

I'll give you an honest take on whether this is right for you.
